Another lap, Another Leap

As I was making my final lap of 2023, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was entering a new chapter in my life. One where I live fiercely, love boldly, and take every challenging experience, every not so nice thought, and every loss as a seed that I will plant and watch grow this year.

Regrettably, sometimes people, environments, and situations can change you. Sometimes you get unlucky and are forced to watch parts of you die. But perhaps this means a metamorphosis is to take place soon? An uncomfortable stage where your old self is gone. But your new self isn’t fully born yet.

I always like to reflect on the last year in January. I look forward to watering myself a little more this year. Tending to the weeds that have set up camp and claimed areas as unfruitful. But most importantly, I am excited to witness who I become and who I will be this time next year.
